The Sonoran Desert is the greenest desert on the planet, which
means that visitors are in for a treat come April and May. The entire
desert, including cactus and native species of plants and trees,
will be in bloom with color!
At other times of year the desert is no less dazzling. The 6,000-foot
Superstition Mountains, home to the black bears and mountain lions
offer an alpine backdrop to the Saguaro cactus greens and moon-surface
hues of the low-lying desert. The combination of mountain
and desert is fantastic for snapshots! |
